WordPress is a fantastic blogging platform, no doubt about it. The freshly released 2.9 version (Carmen) shows you how powerful the platform is becoming. Lately WordPress has been massively used as a CMS and literally tons of websites are powered by the WP technology. This is not very surprising considering the very limited resources required to use the platform. That’s the beauty of open source, there’s almost no limitation on what can be built.
But for those who think that WordPress is only a blogging platform, well, think again. To prove our point we’ve come up with a list of the most creative WordPress themes available in term of usage. We tried to list as many examples as we could but there are a lot more out there. So if you know some themes that you think diverse to be in the list, please let us know in the comments.

@Christa WordPress is surely the way to go. And one of its major strenghts over its “competitors” (appart from its extreme flexibility) is its huge community. There’s so many usefull resources out there inluding great themes, plugins, hacks etc…it’s really easy to find help and support.

WordPress is heads and tails above the rest as far as I’m concerned. The benefits are largely visible in the way of design and seo.
